Fear of Change

Regardless what you do in life, change is one of those things that most likely you aren’t going to be able to avoid. Change is inevitable, grow is optional, someone once said.

I am working into some heavy duty changes, and I have been dealing with a lot of fear, the good news is that I have been embracing my fear, I have been choosing to grow out of this fear, continue moving forward and get to the place I’m going.

Today, I had a great conversation with someone else dealing with a similar change, and a similar fear, the cool thing was this person was looking forward also to grow, this person had choose the hard path.

Are you choosing to grow, choosing to embrace change or are just choosing to paralyze to the fear of change?

  1. Thanks for the reminder Augusto! I wanted to bring up the point of others’ fear of change threatening our own positive changes. For example, I recently lost a lot of weight and am working on losing more. I have to constantly deal with unintentional saboteurs telling me I look weird, am too skinny, and they liked me better before. This is an external manifestation of resistance to change. Any suggestions for dealing with external resistance to change?

  2. Congratulations on the weight, the last pictures I saw were amazing.

Regarding the external resistance to change is mostly fear, people is use to see you in the way you are, and many people don’t like change, and actually is afraid of change. Continue moving forward, continue embracing your own change, people will accept it, or move on. In either case, thats the best.
